Selling Policy

We appreciate when customers bring us items to receive store credit. So everyone is on the same page we request that you review our selling policy before bringing items to the store. Below you will find our rules.

1. Clothing items must be freshly laundered and put in a TOTE or REUSABLE bag. NO grocery/trash bags or diaper/cardboard boxes. You may bring in ONE (64 qt) tote or two large reusable bags at a time.

2. Clothing must be in new or good used condition. No holes, stains, offensive odors, bugs, feces or excessive wear.

3. We accept clothing, jackets and coats from Preemie – adult XXL. Please be sure zippers work.

4. We accept shoes of all sizes, including sport cleats, swim/dance shoes, rain/snow boots etc. Please don’t bring shoes with mud or dirt on them.

5. Electronic toys MUST have batteries and be in good working condition. No corroded or non-working battery compartments.

6. 6/12 V ride on vehicles must have working charger AND battery.

7. Books must be in new or in like new condition. No rips, tears, or coloring of pages.

8. Diapering items including cloth/swim diapers and wipes accepted. Disposable wipes must be unopened. All disposable diapers opened unless in a large quantity and in original packaging will be considered a donation and I will place them in our Blessing Box or donate to another organization I’m partnered with.

9. Feeding supplies such as bottles and sippy cups in like new condition with no holes, chewed on or worn parts.

10. Baby gear must be clean, not recalled or outdated.

11. Sports gear/equipment must be clean and in usable condition (cleats, helmets, bats, mitts etc).

12. Toys must not be broken, have missing pieces and be in good working order. Battery operated toys need to be working.

13. Cribs/bassinets will be accepted if they are less than 5 years old with ALL hardware included. Must not be recalled and be in good condition. No painted or drop side cribs accepted. Must not have bite marks.

14. Please contact us before bringing in large items like furniture or 12 V ride on vehicles. Sending us a message on Facebook with pictures is a good way to see if we are in need of items.

15. We do NOT accept car seats or formula.

16. I will go through your items when brought in and you will be given a non-obligatory offer within 48 hours. Items brought in on Saturday will be gone through the following Tuesday. Items not accepted will be returned to you. Your offer will be in the form of store credit and can be redeemed for anything in the store. Store credit will be valid for ONE year. You will have an additional 48 hours from offer acceptance/decline to pick up any unwanted items/containers or they become the property of The Whole Kid and Kaboodle. We will make ONE phone call or text with the offer. If unwanted items are not picked up and unable to be donated, there will be a $5 fee for us to dispose of them. The $5 fee will be deducted from your offer. The second time items aren’t picked up you will receive a warning and the third time items aren’t picked up, we will no longer accept items from you.
